Taxi in Gràcia

You have dinner in a square in the Vila de Gràcia, the conversation runs late, and by midnight the metro is not what you want. Or you have to be at El Prat at 6:00 and live uphill towards Vallcarca. A taxi in Gràcia solves both, but it helps to know which streets have a rank and when to book. Below are the official ranks by neighbourhood, the fares for the most requested trips and the services we would highlight.

Taxi in Gràcia

Gràcia's ranks sit in four neighbourhoods: the Vila de Gràcia, Camp d'en Grassot i Gràcia Nova, La Salut, and Vallcarca i els Penitents. Inside Barcelona the AMB (Barcelona metropolitan area) urban tariff applies: a €2.80 starting charge plus €1.35 per km on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 (T-1), or €1.66 per km at night, on Saturdays and on public holidays (T-2), according to the 2026 fares published by the AMB taxi service.

Taxi rank in Gràcia

According to the city council's open data (Open Data BCN, taxi ranks, CC BY 4.0), Gràcia has 11 ranks, which we group by neighbourhood:

• Vila de Gràcia: Passeig de Gràcia 126; Carrer Gran de Gràcia 81 and 247; Travessera de Gràcia 212. These streets run through the neighbourhood from end to end.
• Camp d'en Grassot i Gràcia Nova: Carrer Pi i Margall 41; Carrer Escorial 130; Carrer Sant Antoni Maria Claret 13.
• La Salut: Carrer Larrard 57.
• Vallcarca i els Penitents: Carrer Esteve Terradas 50; Viaducte de Vallcarca 15; Avinguda Vallcarca 151.

That is a much lighter network than Eixample's: 11 ranks for the whole district. Away from Gran de Gràcia and Passeig de Gràcia you cannot count on finding a free taxi, so booking makes more sense if you start from a spot away from those axes or have a flight to catch.

How much does a taxi cost from Gràcia?

These are our own calculations from the centre of the district with the 2026 AMB tariff. They include the starting charge, the kilometres and the airport or Moll Adossat supplement where it applies. They do not include waiting, traffic, tolls or the €4.60 supplement for a vehicle carrying 5 to 8 passengers.

Gràcia is further from the airport than Eixample, which is why the weekday fare rises from about €30 to about €34. A taxi leaving Sants station carries a €2.55 supplement at the origin, and journeys that start at the airport have a €21 minimum with all supplements included. Festa Major de Gràcia: what to expect with a taxi

According to Catalan News, the 2026 Festa Major de Gràcia officially ran from 15 to 21 August, with 23 streets and squares in the decoration contest. In that week the neighbourhood fills with people on foot, so it is reasonable to agree a pick-up point on a wider street such as Gran de Gràcia rather than at the door of a decorated lane. Check the city council's website for traffic closures each year before you book.

When should you book a taxi in Gràcia?

Book ahead if you live uphill in Vallcarca or La Salut, where there are fewer ranks, if you leave in the small hours for the airport, or if there are more than four of you. If you hail a taxi at night, T-2 starts at 20:00, and on the nights of 23 to 24 June, 24 to 25 December and 31 December to 1 January another €4.60 is added.

For an eight-seat service, 12 of the 30 services on our list mention vehicles with 7 to 8 seats on their websites. Of those services, 4 mention adapted taxis and 2 accept pets; none mentions card payment.

What to tell the taxi service

Give the exact street and number, how many of you are travelling, how many suitcases you have, whether you need a child seat or a wheelchair and whether you have an animal.
