Taxi in Poblenou
Poblenou is a large neighbourhood in Barcelona's Sant Martí district. According to Wikipedia, it was a centre of Catalan industry in the 1800s, which earned it the nickname "Catalan Manchester", and today it has many kilometres of beaches, the leafy Rambla del Poblenou, the historic Poblenou Cemetery, and the 22@ plan to turn the area into a technology and innovation district.
That mix means a taxi Poblenou Barcelona search covers very different trips: a morning meeting in a 22@ office, the way home from the beach with children and bags, or dinner on the Rambla. Of the 30 taxi services we list, 28 are based in Barcelona and 2 in Sant Adrià de Besòs, but any taxi in the city can pick you up on your street.

Carrer Cristóbal de Moura 137 |
Carrer Llull, Lope de Vega, Sancho de Ávila and Ciutat de Granada have three ranks each. Find your street or the nearest one in the table. If none is close, booking is the safer route, especially on a hot beach afternoon or late at night.

Taxi or public transport in the barrio
According to the Wikipedia article above, the barrio has metro line 4 stops (Selva de Mar, Poblenou, Llacuna and Bogatell), line 1 stops at Marina and Glòries, and Trambesòs tram stops at Glòries, Ca l'Aranyó, Pere IV and Fluvià. For the beach or the 22@ with light luggage, that is often enough.
A taxi makes more sense with suitcases, children and beach gear, late at night, or when you have a fixed time to meet: a morning flight, or a meeting you cannot be late for. Distance matters too. Sants is 8.9 km and about 15 minutes from the centre of the barrio without traffic, and the cruise terminals are 6.2 km away; the taxi goes door to door without changes.
Beach, office or airport: when to book
Poblenou is long and flat, and 25 ranks give good coverage, but a rank does not solve every case. The three most common situations are:
- Early train or flight: the airport is about 27 minutes away without traffic. Book ahead rather than hoping to find a free cab.
- Large group or lots of luggage: 13 of the 30 companies say on their websites that they have 7 or 8 seat vehicles, and 15 state a 24-hour service. With 5 to 8 passengers the AMB adds €4.60. See large taxis in Barcelona.
- Reduced mobility or pets: 8 companies mention adapted taxis on their websites and 3 say they accept pets (pet taxis). Say so when you book.
To do it all in one step use our booking form, which sends your request to up to three companies. Only 4 of the listed companies mention card payment on their websites, so ask before you get in.
