Between €169 and €183, depending on the time. Girona city council publishes the 2026 intercity tariff: €0.82 per km on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 and €0.89 per km at night, at weekends and on holidays.

How is the PortAventura taxi fare calculated as a closed circuit?

The intercity meter counts the kilometres back to the starting point by the shortest route unless you agree otherwise. The STAC explains the rule and says the service is contracted as a full-car hire.

So a one-way transfer still includes the driver's return, which is why the fare is roughly double what the road distance alone would give.

Who pays the toll?

The passenger. The STAC states that the user pays any toll on the road used, including the driver's return. Ask whether a quoted fixed price already covers the motorway.

What should you ask before you book?

A transfer of 100 km has more moving parts than a city ride. Ask whether the price is the meter or a fixed amount, and if fixed, whether it includes tolls both ways, the airport supplement and a wait if your flight is late.

Ask for the price in writing. Tell the company how many people and how many suitcases travel, plus pushchairs, because a standard car and a people carrier are not the same. If you travel with a young child, ask about child seats when you book rather than at the kerb. If someone uses a wheelchair, ask for an adapted taxi in advance.

Say how you want to pay: not every driver takes cards, and 12 of the 30 services mention card payment on their websites. For the return to the airport at the end of the stay, book at the same time and give the flight time, so the pick-up leaves enough margin for the 80-minute journey.
