A taxi from Barcelona Airport to Sitges covers 32.1 km in about 29 minutes without traffic and, on the 2026 intercity tariff, comes to about €57 on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 and about €62 at night, at weekends and on holidays. That is the meter price including the airport supplement, before tolls, waiting and the group supplement. We explain how it is worked out and who to ask.
You land at El Prat in the evening, the hotel is in Sitges and the last thing you want is a change of transport with bags. A taxi from Barcelona Airport to Sitges is an intercity ride, so it does not follow the urban tariff of the metropolitan area. It follows the intercity rates of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
We would book ahead if you arrive late or travel as a family. A rank taxi will take you, but a booked company can wait in arrivals and confirm the price before you leave the terminal.
Taxi from Barcelona Airport to Sitges
The meter works on kilometres, and the kilometre price depends on the hour. The intercity tariff for 2026 published by the Ajuntament de Girona sets €0.82 per km on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 and €0.89 per km at other times, with a €4.60 airport supplement and a €4.60 supplement for more than four passengers.
The STAC explains that these services are hired by the whole vehicle and counted in a closed circuit, back to the starting point by the shortest route, unless the parties agree otherwise.

These are meter amounts we calculated from those figures. With five to eight passengers add €4.60, which gives roughly €62 by day and €66 at night. On the night of 23 to 24 June, 24 to 25 December and 31 December to 1 January the tariff adds another €4.60 between 20:00 and 8:00.
What is not in that price?
The table covers distance and the airport supplement only. Four things can change the final amount:
- Waiting and traffic: the tariff charges €22.47 per hour of waiting by day and €24.32 at night.
- Tolls: the STAC says the user pays tolls, including the one on the taxi's return trip.
- Group size: €4.60 more from the fifth passenger.
- Booking by phone: the tariff lists a €2.25 notice charge for telephone bookings.
If a company gives you a closed price, ask what it includes: tolls, waiting at arrivals, luggage and the group supplement. We do not publish company prices.
Where does the taxi pick you up, and how long does it take?
Plan for about 29 minutes of driving without traffic. At T1 the ranks are on level 0, and at T2 each of T2A, T2B and T2C has a reservation rank and a no-reservation rank, according to Aena. Aena adds that the only official Barcelona taxi is black and yellow.
If you book a company, send the terminal, landing time, flight number and the exact address in Sitges. For trains and other options, check the operator's own site, for example Rodalies de Catalunya, before relying on them late at night.
How many people and bags fit?
A standard taxi takes four passengers. For five to eight you need a larger vehicle. According to their websites, 28 of the 30 listed services offer 7 or 8 seats, 13 mention adapted taxis and 3 say they accept pets. If you are six with suitcases, say so when booking, since every seat in use reduces boot space.
Our pages on large taxis in Barcelona and the pet friendly taxi cover those needs. For the return journey, see the page on a taxi from Barcelona to Sitges, which starts in the city instead.
What should you ask when you book?
Ask for the amount in writing and what it covers. Check whether the company waits if the flight is late, how long it waits after landing, and whether it charges for the wait. Mention luggage and child seats, since we cannot confirm that every vehicle carries them. Sitges has narrow central streets, so give the exact hotel address and ask where the driver can stop.
