Taxi from Barcelona to Reus Airport
You are flying out of Reus, perhaps with a budget airline, and the early departure does not fit the public transport you found. A taxi from Barcelona to Reus Airport takes you from your hotel to the terminal, and the fare covers the car, so it is better value for a group than for one traveller.
Reus is outside the Barcelona metropolitan area (AMB), so the AMB taxi page says the fares set by the Generalitat of Catalonia apply rather than the urban meter.

The estimate leaves out waiting, traffic, tolls and the airport supplement. Use it to compare quotes, not as a price from a company.
Why does the meter count the way back?
Because the intercity tariff is applied in a closed circuit. The STAC summarises that routes are measured to the starting point by the shortest way unless the parties expressly agree otherwise, and that the service is contracted for the whole vehicle. The kilometres are billed for both directions.
Tolls follow the same logic: they are paid by the user, including the driver's return. On a trip of 101 km this can be a meaningful part of the total, so a closed price that includes both tolls is easier to compare.
How much time should you leave?
The routing gives about 91 minutes without traffic. For a flight, count the time you need at the terminal plus a margin for traffic around Barcelona and on the way south. We would book the pick-up well ahead and ask the company to confirm the time and the price by message.
The Girona tariff applies the night rate on weekdays from 20:00 to 8:00, so a departure before 8:00 falls under it. Check with the company which rate it will charge for your time.
What are the alternatives to a taxi?
We have not confirmed a direct public transport link from Barcelona to the terminal, so check the operators' own timetables before you decide.
A taxi is the choice for a group, for an early or late flight, or when you carry bulky luggage. If you just need a ride from the airport to a resort, compare taxi Barcelona to Salou and taxi Barcelona airport to Salou.
Which size of taxi should you ask for?
A normal taxi seats four passengers. For five to eight ask for a large taxi and expect the €4.60 supplement. According to their own websites, 21 of the 30 services here offer 7 or 8 seats, 13 mention wheelchair-adapted taxis and 5 accept pets.
See large taxi Barcelona for groups and pet-friendly taxi Barcelona if you travel with an animal. For a chauffeur, start with private driver Barcelona. Our guide to Barcelona taxi fares explains the rates in detail.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the quote is the meter or a fixed total, whether tolls and the airport supplement are included, what waiting costs if your flight is delayed, and whether the company will contact you before the pick-up. Give the exact address, the flight time, the number of people and the bags.
Child seats, pets and wheelchair space should be requested in the booking, because we cannot confirm which services supply them.
